Negotiations Update – February 2, 2012
The BOTA Collective Bargaining Committee met with the District negotiators this morning for a preliminary session of sharing with regard to the Governor’s proposed budget and financial plans for the 2012-2013 school year. The meeting was productive and amiable and new meetings were set up for Feb. 28, Mar. 5, and Mar. 12.
Since our current three-year contract will expire on June 30 of this calendar year, we will be negotiating a successor contract. Mark Kercheville will “sunshine” BOTA’s proposal on the last school board meeting of this month, Feb. 27th. Therefore, the CBC will be sending out a survey soon to all members to get your input on any changes you would like to see for our current contract.
Look for new information regarding the state of negotiations as the year proceeds.
